Admission to Communion and Confirmation

Children who receive Holy Communion in their home church are welcome to receive Holy Communion when visiting in the parish. As a parish we are able to admit young children to Holy Communion after they have completed a short course on Holy Communion.

Confirmation is when a baptised person confirms the promises they made, or were made on their behalf, at baptism. The candidate declares their faith and their desire to turn to Christ. The bishop then lays hands on their head, asking for the power of the Holy Spirit to fill their lives..

Confirmations are held regularly in the Deanery and confirmation classes are held in the parish.
